Thomas Jones is the Hospital Administrator at both Fancy Paws Cat Clinic and our sister hospital, Ashburn Veterinary Hospital. He is a 1978 graduate of the University of Georgia College
of Veterinary Medicine and has spent his years since in both small animal general and emergency practice. After leaving his emergency practice in Richmond, he moved back to the Northern
Virginia area and started the Ashburn Veterinary Hospital in 1994.
Dr. Jones had a vision to create a hospital that would provide a safe, quiet environment specifically for feline patients. That dream came true in 2007 and has grown into a very unique practice. He is excited to provide a service to feline patients and owners that the general practice does not allow.
Throughout his career Dr. Jones has been active in local, state and national veterinary associations and a participant in the Virginia Tech Veterinary Student Mentoring Program, as well as a member of The American Animal Hospital Association, The American Veterinary Medical Association, and The American Association of Feline Practitioners. To remain current on research and changes in the field of veterinary medicine, he regularly pursues continuing education in a variety of disciplines. Dr. Jones oversees patient care and mentors new associates. He lives with three feline companions of his own, one named Tapio, is pictured here.
Rudy Salber, VMD, has joined our team at Ashburn Veterinary Hospital and Fancy Paws Cat Clinic. With his focus on low stress examinations and strong client communication, he shares our hospital’s passion for excellence, high quality veterinary care and wellness education.
Dr. Salber began his studies at the University of Delaware where he received his undergraduate degree and completed his studies at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in May 2016.
Originally from New Jersey, Dr. Salber has fallen in love with the Northern Virginia area and in his free time you’ll find him hiking, kayaking and
enjoying the beautiful outdoors. He is passionate about the community and he also enjoys visiting local wineries.
Dr. Salber has worked in a variety of veterinary hospitals throughout New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland and Virginia. He also worked in a feline-only practice where he developed an understanding of the unique needs of feline owners and their cats.
Dr. Salber looks forward to developing new relationships with our clients and their furry family members. He believes in client education and focuses on a collaborative approach to medicine, recognizing the important relationship between owner and pet.
Dr. Salber is a member of the American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), and the American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP).
